Hotel Puerta Gamboa boasts a central location, making it perfectly situated near the marina, where you can find a variety of delightful bars and food options. It is conveniently close to the charming old town, the harbour, and numerous restaurants. Plus, it's just 3 km away from the Great Barn, adding to its accessibility.

Incredible location in the historic part of the city, attentive staff, everything was perfect. Our room was elegant and spotless, available with a balcony as well as bathroom. Location: the hotel was adjacent to marina area where there are all sorts of lovely bar and food options and the center and port. Btw, we admired Casco Vello, based at walking distance from the venue.

I had a truly wonderful stay at a charming boutique hotel in a fantastic location. The owners treated me like family and went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable stay. The room was lovely, with a balcony overlooking the bustling streets. The bathroom was clean and the shower was excellent. The hotel is perfectly situated near the waterfront, shops, and restaurants, making it easy to explore the city. Though there were some noise from the nearby bars, the rooms were well insulated, ensuring a good night's rest. The breakfast served each morning was delicious and the late afternoon wine and tapas were a delightful treat. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Vigo.

Location: The hotel is in the heart of Casco Vello, the old port area of Vigo. Its central location allows guests to explore the city on foot, with the Contemporary Art Museum and Caixanova just a stroll away.
Parking: The only minor issue I encountered was the parking situation. Getting to the hotel by car required navigating through Vigo's one-way system and a brief stop to lift the bollard at the end of the road.

Puerta Gamboa exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. the recently renovated hotel showcased a high standard of luxury. the service provided by the father and son duo was truly first-class. the son, who spoke English, was incredibly helpful, assisting us with bus schedules and recommending a boat trip to Ons instead of the more touristy Cies. the location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of the old town with easy access to pubs, restaurants, and the harbor for island ferries. We've stayed in five-star hotels around the world, and Puerta Gamboa easily ranks in our top three.
We can't wait to return. Cons: Nothing at all!

I had a blast shopping and visiting the local museums, while sipping drinks at the hotel's cafe. The complimentary Wi-Fi was a savior for my social media obsession. And the airport shuttle, coffee shop, and dry cleaning were just cherry on top!
Oh, who needs a good night's sleep anyway? The lovely noise from the bar next door kept me entertained all night long.

I loved that I could stroll to the local museums and shop till I dropped at Gamboa. Plus, I could relax with a drink and snack at the hotel's cafe. So posh!
Oh, the joy of hearing the outdoor bar next door until the wee hours. Music to my ears!

The Christmas atmosphere at the hotel was lovely, with festive decorations and a cozy ambiance. the location was great, right in the heart of the city, making it convenient for exploring and shopping. the staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome and festive.
The room we stayed in was quite small, making it a bit cramped for two people. the noise from nearby bars and restaurants was quite loud, especially during the holiday season when festivities were in full swing.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
